Centurion at a glance

Centurion is strategically situated between Johannesburg and Pretoria and its main access routes link it to every important centre in Gauteng . The main railway line also runs through the heart of Centurion, thereby confirming Centurion as the urban anchor of Gauteng. There is also the Gautrain which is a state of the art rapid rail network in Gauteng. The rail connection comprises of two links, namely a link between Pretoria and Johannesburg and a link between OR Tambo International Airport and Sandton. Apart from three anchor stations on these two links, seven other stations will be linked by approximately 80 kilometres of rail along the route.

The development will be completed in three phases and on completion, just after the turn of the century, 57 000 job opportunities. Telkom has recently launched a R135 million project to build a national network management centre. This high technology centre will form part of the Techno Park development. The NNMC would be the central hub for monitoring their entire network on a 24 hour basis. Centurion is a vibrant and convenient place to live with excellent schools including private schools, with an upmarket shopping centre.
